Meet the Team

Deanna is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the Founder of Central Valley Speech Pathology Inc. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

With a career spanning a variety of clinical and academic settings, Deanna has cultivated a deep understanding of communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Her professional experience includes acute medical care in inpatient and outpatient environments (working with both adults and pediatrics), neonatal intensive care with an emphasis on infant feeding, skilled nursing facilities, early intervention, and school-based therapy. In addition, she serves as an adjunct instructor at San Joaquin Delta College, where she mentors and prepares the next generation of speech-language pathology assistants.

Deanna’s areas of passion include infant and pediatric feeding, birth-to-three speech and language development, and the treatment of adult neurogenic disorders and dysphagia. She is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and family-centered care, believing that therapy should empower both clients and families with the tools needed for long-term success. Her leadership at Central Valley Speech Pathology reflects her commitment to high-quality, individualized services that make a lasting impact in the community.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Deanna values family, balance, and time spent outdoors. She enjoys traveling to the beach, creating lasting memories with her loved ones, and finding inspiration in the joy of everyday moments.

Marianna Novoa is an Early Intervention Specialist at Central Valley Speech Pathology, Inc. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Exceptional Children & Youth from California State University, Stanislaus, and brings a strong foundation in child development, learning strategies, and individualized support. 

With a background as an Education Specialist serving students with disabilities in grades K–8, elementary education has given her the opportunity to work closely with students of diverse needs and abilities. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff allowed her to create inclusive, supportive learning environments. 

Marianna is passionate about helping children reach their full potential by building on their strengths, addressing challenges with patience and creativity, and empowering families with tools and resources that foster growth both at school and at home.

Gianna Gelsomini is an Early Intervention Specialist at Central Valley Speech Pathology, Inc. She holds a degree in Psychology with a specialized minor in Child Development from California State University, Chico, blending academic expertise with a passion for early milestone success. 

Her goal as an EIS is to empower parents and caregivers with practical tools they can use during daily routines, creating a supportive environment where babies can grow to their fullest potential. She is here to help you read your baby's unique cues, turn milestone anxiety into everyday confidence, and celebrate every single win along the way!

When not working, Gianna enjoys a mix of adventure and cozy downtime: winding down with a good book, spending time outside, and enjoying time with family. 

Kendal Peterson is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Central Valley Speech PathologyInc. She holds an Associates of Science degree and SLPA  certificate, and brings a strong foundation in learning strategies, collaboration, and support for client progress.

While this is a new role for Kendal, she is passionate about helping children get a headstart in their speech-language development, in addition to helping families continue these strategies at home. She is excited to continue growing her clinical skills and expanding her knowledge in the areas of early language development, AAC, social communication, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. Kendal is continuing her education in the field to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. 

In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, spending time with her dogs, and making new memories with her husband and family.
